How to open side mirror switch to clean ? 200 1992

On our 1992 244 Gl, the electric side mirrors are controlled by switches mounted under the hand brake. One is not working in one direction, so I thought I would clean the contacts like I have done many-a-time for the window switches. However, the two parts of these switches seem to be held together with screws that have no slots, they are just little domes ---some sort of rivet I guess. So before I take the Dremel to cutting off the heads of these fasteners, I thought I would check and see If anyone has had experience with these.

Thanks.
