Sticking brakes? --'71 145-- 140-160

Hi, I recently bought a '71 145. It had been sitting for a while, and as a result some systems aren't working properly, such as the brakes which are sticking. They seem to free themselves(though not completely) enough so the car can be pushed by hand, but as soon as I press the brake pedal they stick again and usually stay stuck. It seems as if all of the brakes, or at least both fronts, are sticking at the same time; would that mean it's the master cylinder? I checked in the Haynes manual, but It wasn't much help. I cleaned that vent hole in the master cylinder cap, that didn't help. Tha manual mentioned a "bypass port(?)" in the master cylinder, but I couldn't find any other mention of it. Another possible cause listed was "improperly adjusted cylinder pushrod," but there was no info on how to adjust or reset it.

I hope someone here has some experience with this problem and can guide me in the right direction. I thought I'd ask for advice here before taking anything off the car.

Thanks in advance,
Max
