Instrument Cluster and Fuel Tank 200 1989

tonkyman--refresh my memory, 89 has magnetic pickup wheel in rearend for speedo
correct?? If so I see no reason why the whole cluster cannot be exchanged, that would certainly be the fastest. Ive done it on older, cable oper. speedos and new 740s. Is you gas tank leaking?? Were later 240 tanks a composite plastic instead of steel? My guess is that you could eyeball the tank fitment.
