Low Brakes 200

1983 245

Replacing the left-front caliper (clearly stuck) led to replacing the front rotors (while I'm in there...) led to replacing the right-front caliper (rubber all shot). Faced with ordering parts, bleeding brakes again, and an already low pedal; I tossed in a new MC for good measure.

After bench bleeding the MC and installing everything, I bled the brakes using 15psi and a Motive bleeder. Since the pedal was still really soft, I rebled with 25psi. Things got a little better...but still quite soft. This was followed by a couple rounds of manual bleeding. Before starting the engine, the pedal felt great...but power assist lets me easily bring the pedal to the floor. Also, when at the bottom of the stroke, the Failure light illuminates (goes off when pedal is released). Only one circuit filled with air?

Am I missing something? I've replaced calipers and bled before this adventure. Is there some slack I should be taking up between the Booster pushrod and the MC? At this point, there are no apparent leaks or fluid loss.

Any ideas would be great...luckily this isn't my daily driver just yet.

Thanks.
