Look for the orange wires 200 1984

The one question of the five loose ends you mention, is the orange wire. That sounds like the stumbling problem.

Going by memory, the V/C ignition needs to know when you come off throttle closed, and it gets this information on an orange wire.

In order for it to get that info, there needs to be a connection from the TPS, which is joined using the FI harness, to the V/C computer (ICU) which is wired with the ignition harness.

Check to see if something coming from the same bundle the distributor wiring and knock sensor wiring is in, is disconnected from the bundle carrying the wires to the coolant temp sensor and idle air valve.
