How to open side mirror switch to clean ? 200 1992

I used my Dremel to slice through the rounded sides of the base into the rivets, at the top of the base (black part of the switch, thus leaving the top (red) part intact. I was then able to use needle nose pliers to unscrew the rivets from the base. I cleaned all the contacts and parts. (Be careful for all the little parts when you take it apart.) Then I put it together and used two sheet metal type screws that fit into the holes in the base. It works!
