Mystery Connectors 1993

Under the hood of my '93 245 are a couple of "spare" connectors that don't have anything hooked to them. One is near the coil and ABS unit. It is a two wire connector and looks similar to the ones for the AMM: nice rubber bellows seal with the wire clip that holds the connection together. It looks too important to be just sitting there doing nothing! The other is just to the rear of this near the LH diagnostic connector: a single red wire with a female connector on the end. Anyone out there know what these might be for?
Thanks!
