740 n0n-turbo to 740 turbo conversion

I own a 1986 740GLE wagon with the 2.3 liter non-turbo motor and auto trans. All stock. What is involved in converted to a 2.3 turbo motor using my non-turbo mmotor. I have access to intake manifold with all parts sans intercooler and exhaust manifold and turbo. Can I use my existing 2.3 non turbo head with a thicker head gasket to drop compression ratio? Do I need an intercooler? What other parts-the ecm parts numbers are different for turbo and non-turbo motors so I assume turbo ecm is needed. New ecm is $902 from Volvo. Any sources of used ecms? Is this possible or just a dumb idea. My motor is original to the car has 191K miles averages 24mpg city and does not burn oil. Thanks.
