Bad Overheating Problem 700

Hi Badge:

I have both the D24T with stock radiator and a B230T. I recently replaced the 2 pass Radiator, in the B230FT, with a 3 pass. Because I was having overheating problems on my trips to Florida. This only happened while running air. I only did this after I tryed a used 2 pass from the Junk yard. The 3 pass solved my problems.

I compared the size of the Diesel & Gasser and there is a substantial difference. That coupled to the fact that, I think the D24T, has an iffy cooling system. I would try somehow to use the diesel radiator. Or retrofit one from a full size American Car.

It's been hot here too in NYC and my diesel has also been showing the strain when running AC. I did the same with my electric fan. Also I found that these fans rot out. Are you sure it's running? I had to rebuild both of mine.

Did you damage your head or Gasket?

Hope this helps
Warren
