Trip reset 200 1991

I had this happen on my '99 240. The reset button or shaft had broken off partway down. I had an old instrument cluster from a pick and pull which had a good reset button. I replaced the broken one with that. Still working.

You have to remove the instrument cluster and partially disassemle the cluster to get to the odometer. Once you do, it will be clear how to replace the button.

I don't know if you can buy these buttons or not. If you can't get one, try a salvaged instrument cluster as I did. Be sure to check the button before you buy though. Good luck!
