Tailshaft flange to driveshaft fit: exchange? 700 1997

Am in the process of exchanging driveshafts from NA to Turbo. The flange on the turbo is larger and more robust, but will the flange shaft from a newer turbo AW fit to the older units? The older have the regular bearing surface while the newer use ball bearings. Anyway, will they fit? Appreciate input--
