240 M47 Transmissions 200

FWIW: I have read "somewhere" that the type II came in 1986, in which case both your transmissions should be the stronger versions. The problem with type I was related to lubrication, it is common practise in my neck of the wood to overfill as a sort of compensation.

The only thing I can think of that might be worth looking into, is that your 1990 has a Hardy disc between box and axle, the 1987 has not (change in 1988). I'd check if the holes etc. match when mixing years, but I'd be surprised if they didn't. Which admittedly isn't worth much; I get surprised all the time.

Erling.
