Quality of MTC tailshaft bushing kit ('89 244)? 1988

Art,

I could tell this bushing was bad when I twisted the ratchet to loosen a driveshaft nut and got hit on the face with a big dollop of AT fluid. By the way, Dexron III and undercoating react to form a substance called irremoveium. You've heard of a Brazilian wax? Well, I managed to give myself a Scandinavian wax by first liberally coating my forearms with this goop, and then using a tire brush and Comet cleanser to scrub it off. On a positive note, I have no ant bites on my arms!

Your bushing research methodology is sound; I'll submit a proposal to the funding agency (my wife)! I appreciate the tip on the gasket. I would have taken a steak knife to the old one without even thinking!

Glen
