Steering Problem After Collision 700 1989

My beloved 740 was hit by a drunk driver (Volvo versus '05 Toyota Matrix...score another win for a Volvo!!) on Father's Day in the left front fender and wheel. After this collision, the steering is extremely stiff even with the working power assist. If I put the front on jack stands, I can't move the front wheels side to side by hand as before.

The 740 is in the body shop for the repairs, but all they want to do is a "front wheel alignment". I know more is wrong than that. The caster/camber and toe have not changed at all visually. The 10 spoke alloy wheel took most of the hit but only has cosmetic damage.

What is probably wrong so I can be on alert and direct them to a proper repair? THANKS BRICKBOARD AGAIN!!!
