Sticking fuel sender 700

My fuel gauge is sticking on about 1/3 fuel. I know the problem is with the sender since I measured 100 ohms at the sender when disconnected. That equates to 1/3 full.

The gauge used to be slow to reach full after fillling up. Took about 4 hours to rise. Now it's stuck on 1/3.

Has anyone found a good additive to add to the tank that may lube/free the sender? Can the sender be repaired. I looked at some prices and they are big $$$.
