Starts, then stalls immediately? 140-160 1974

Turn the key on, then unplug the airflow sensor (under the air intake) You will hear the pump buzz and the pressure come up in the fuel lines.
If not, maybe you have a balky pump.

If the pump has lots of pressure (70psi I think), and it starts then stalls immediately, it's almost certainly the CPR. (AKA "Warm-up regulator")

Yours looks like this? Then it's been upgraded already and is easy to replace.

The CPR's tend to fail at max pressure, (clogged) meaning the engine runs lean and stumbles badly until it warms up.

It can be disassembled and cleaned in a super clean shop, but it will save you a lot of fussing just to replace/upgrade. The internals aof a high pressure regulator are no fun.

CPR's aren't cheap. Look around lots.
