Another idea 200

I just got in from my nightly task of working on the 240 with some success. I swapped out the relay on the fuel pump as a stab in the dark, and the alternator started putting out proper voltage (14.3 volts). All I can figure out is there was a short of some type in the relay that was draging the system voltage down.

I still am having the fuel pump noise problems I was having before the alternator problem. I am afraid that the noisy pump is pulling a heavy load on the new relay and will end up shorting it out as well. The fuel pump issue is another mystery I could use some help with, but I will start a new post to keep things strait.

Thanks to everyone for help with the alternator issue.

Bart
