Different versions of M40 gearbox ? 140-160

I have copies of those scans from Capt. B - most interesting (if only for historical reasons)

I've got all the FIA homologation papers for the various 140 series cars ... although its interesting that the 73-74 models with the later dash (like mine) where never formally homolgated for competition, it seems . They certainly don't appear on the FIA listings. I guess Volvo figured there was no point, as the era of the 140 as a competitive rally car at WRC level was pretty much over by then (Markku Alen's 3rd place in the 1973 "1000 Lakes" notwithstanding ...)

I'm planning to replace my twin Strombergs with SU's at some stage (I've got a set of HS6's in the shed, or might go HIF6's if I can source some), maybe tidy up the ports a little, throw a "D" cam in it & pretty much leave it at that. There are limits to what I can di within the Historic Rally Car regs, which has the advantage of keeping it relatively cheap !

First priority is some decent springs before all that happens though .....
