Is My AMM Bad ?? 200

Other day i wrote in about this but did not got a definitive answer. My '86 240DL sometimes runs poorly. It will be going along fine then it bogs down not able to achieve proper rpm/performance. I then stop car go out and unplug connection to AMM(Air Mass Meter)and re plug it in and all is fine. This has not been happening every day - more like every week(usually on wet, moist, rainy days). I took off AMM and cleaned it well(not that it was dirty to begin with). I noticed that there a brass adjustment screw under a silver cover cap. Can AMM be adjusted ? If so how ? Can AMM be erratic as mine appears to be or are they work/don't work type items ? Should I just replace my AMM ? Last time I wrote in it was suggested to try changing my fuel filter. I changed fuel filter about 6X months ago so I do not think that is problem. Any advice, help, suggestions, experience are most greatly appreciated. Thanks.
