T belt misaligned, other woes 700 1986

First off do you have a manual to look at? If your cam mark and your balancer mark line up you will see that the mark on the crank won't touch the belt, you pretty much have to count and make sure the teeth when turning will line up. When I did mine the notch of the cranch was at the top but counting the notches on the belt I could tell that it would work. after the belt is on rotate it and see if all the lines on the belt line up when they are suppost to. Timing is timing and I don't think it would be possible to make up a 180 deg from a mistake. Anywho good luck and double check everything.
