I've looked at too many wiring diagrams. Suffering brain cramp. 444-544

I'm having problems figuring out some of the underhood wiring on my 445 project. #1: terminal 61 on the alternator has 1 wire that goes to the regulator and a 2nd that goes to hot, right? If thats the voltage that excites the alt., should it be connected only when the key is at "run" or also at "start"? Should it be fused? #2: Using the electronic ignition from a '75 but with a resistance type coil and aftermarket switch, the white wire from the black box goes to the - coil terminal but where do I run the blue wire? Can I just tie it and the wire from the starter to the + terminal along with a hot wire from the "run" position? Should I fuse the hot wire? BTW I'm using a later model permanent magnet starter and I don't think there's power to the small terminal [#15 I think] when the solenoid isn't energized.
