How thick is my brick???? New seats - successful upgrade 444-544

I need to fashion some repairs to my '64 PV.

Can anyone give me some metal thickness specs for various areas of the PV's body?

Such as; floor pans, body area near top of rear fender, spare tire well, rear of trunk floor.

As for seats, I got a nice set of cloth seats from a '96 850. They fit quite well and give a wonderful ride.

I cut/ground the 850 mounts off and had two thin, flat bars 3 inches wide welded across the remaining fittings. I then made a 1/2" plywood spacer to make up the step in the inside mounts, and added a plate to adapt the seat mounts to the spacer.

The plate bolts through the spacer to the original rails, then the seat bolts to the plate.

The best part - even though the 850 is a four-door, the passenger seat folds forward.

I can't believe how great this brick is!
