a/c R134 evaporator--chilled only on 1 side, clogged? 200 1986

hello,
my a/c vents on drivers and passenger side are different temps. i stuck my hand on the a/c evaporator.

the 1986 a/c is a R134 retrofit. i checked the low pressure side, 35 psi at idle with ambient temp about 88 F about 2.5 months ago and even back then the left vents were colder than the right.

facing toward the engine, it's chilled on left side, and not chilled on the right side. the evap could be partially blocked. current ambient temp <90 F (currently raining).

1) is a new r134 evap recommended?
2) should i pull the evap out and reverse flush?
3) other suggestions?

i know the heater valve is working--it's the new type & i've checked the heater hoses (not hot).

thanks again,
byron golden
