First Drive. 120-130

Hi Phil,

I did check for free rotation etc during assembly, and it was fine. The problem, according to Cloyes, is that the cam gear "grows" a little. It is a matter of a couple of thousands of an inch. Some gears sets are apparently OK, while others are just at the edge of the tolerance and fail. I got one of those sets.

What happened is that they sounded fine when I first started the engine, then as it warmed up they started to make a high-pitched whine so loud you couldn't be beside the car. This was consistant every time I started the car.

Glad not everyone has had this experience.

Craig
