It is probably the size of the oil pump, its efficiency at low speeds and
the number of bearings and oil galleries that have to be served.


All my B30's have had plenty of pressure at idle.

I have seen one B18 with this problem, it had blown out one of the square section O-rings from the pump pipe. The other time I have seen this it was a faulty switch.
