Front end shimmy 200

I'm getting just a hint of shimmy at about 40 - 50 mph.

Car is a 1982 242tic, 303,000 miles. I replaced front suspension components (all bushings, tie rods, steering rods, ball joints) at 270,000... upper strut bearings at 285,000.

I haven't replaced the strut inserts, but it's pretty much time to do so.

So... is there a common culprit that causes shimmy?

By the way... I got the strut bearings from a after-market internet place; don't remember which one (Gapa? Probably.) They are already needing to be replaced again (they moan pretty pathetically, esp. in cooler weather).
