drum hub not slipping back on after shoe replacement !?!? 120-130

Did this same job a year or so ago, and had the same problem with getting the drum back on. Was sure I did everything right, douible and triple checking everythng multiple times. Then, I asked a seasoned old school Volvo tech what in tarnation I was not seeing. His adivice was to completely relax and disconnect the parking brake cables. This will allow eveyrthing to relax completely, and the new shoes to be compressed into their smallest diameter. I disconnected the cables, and voila !, teh new shoes could be moved hat extra little bit, and the drum then slid on properly.
