Remove engine and tranny together, replace engine, put back in together? 700 1990

before you go pulling that you need to take into consideration the weight your going to be dealing with.

Heres a tip, doing it as a whole unit is very nice , though doing it this way its heavy you will still require 2 people and youd better have the car high up in the air to get that tranny to tilt out.

If you do them seperatly which i have done 5 times in my driveway the easiest thing to do is unbolt the tranny take 2 floors jacks one with a piece of wood for the pan sections the other jack for the bell houseing put the jacks under jack just enough to even the pressure between the engine and tranny and pull back the tranny if you have unbolted everything you can actaully pull the entire tranny back and just leave it hanging in limbo, this way when you go to put the engine back into the car its all already lined up, just push the tranny forward and it should slip right back into place. Just my 2 cents
