Just purchased '92 960 - Help!!

OK,I didn't do my home work. Had a Volvo years ago and just loved to drive it. This 960 is in great shape interior/exterior, drives great, comfortable, etc. Purchased in KC, MO. and drove it home approx. 140 miles. Dropped about one-half of the coolant during the drive home. Also has small oil leak that's difficult to find. Having now read about the 960 engine problems, I am scared to death to drive. Sell or Keep?
