Just purchased '92 960 - Help!!

I would concur with Tomb. Make sure whether or not the problems you have are generic, rather than '92 960-specific. My spouse bought a -92 960 wagon several years ago, before we knew enything about it. The eventual engine replacement, however, was not due to the "early 960 engine problem"--just wear. She loves the car so much, we replaced the engine rather than get another car. It's our road trip vehicle, and has great handling and is very comfortable on long trips.
You may have nothing more than issues you should expect on any Volvo with the number of years and miles that are on this one.
Re the coolant drop--may be something as simple ( and expensive) as the plastic hose connector at the top of the radiator cracking. Is there by chance a lot of duct tape wrapped around it?
