87 240 dies

Hello,

My 87 240 wagon with AT is giving me trouble again.

On the way home from work it lost power goiing up a hill. It eventually stalled out. It will start consitintly, but stalls when you give it any gas at all. I had to have it towed home. It seems to be getting worse now as it will only idle for 10-15 seconds before it dies now.

I have tried unplugging the AMM and it makes no difference.

I have recently replaced the alternator, main and tank pumps, fuel pressure regulator, fuel filter, and the fuel pump relay due to other problems.

The engine temp guage has been acting strage lately - sometimes it shows cold long after the engine should be warm, sometimes it shows temp higher than the normal. I have seen on this post where the engine temp sensor can cause stalling problems.

Any suggestions on where to start are apprecitated.

Thanks

Bart
