More AC Switch Questions (80 245) 200 1980

Hello all,

Working on getting my AC running in a 1980 245. The AC switch/knob didn't "click" like most switches, so I got a new-used switch from the junkyard. Question is: the switch out of my 80 245 also has a microswitch attached to the left. There are two leads out of this micro switch, but there were no wires attached (of my two other bricks (79 265 and 80 260), one doesn't have a microswitch and the other also doesn't have any wires attached to these leads).

But the 1987 245 that I pulled the "new" switch from did have a couple wires attached to this microswitch (one red and one blue-yellow). Anyone have any idea what this microswitch is for, and can I continue my repairs without having it hooked up in my 80?

thanks again
aaron
