92 240 R-134a Retrofit simple question 200 1992

A few weeks ago I purchased and used a Interdynamics Retrofit kit. It's used to retrofit a R-12 system to R-134a. I followed all the instructions and it worked wonderfully. However, I couldn't find the high side valve. I found the low side and put the adapter on but when I went to search for the high side I unscrewed this big brass looking nut that was covering a valve I though this was the High side port. however the adapter provided didn't fit. I am at a loss and can't find a diagram that details where the highside valve is. They provide a GM special adapter should i try to use that one.
Please Advise.
