Try this before another filter change... 200 1988

1) Disconnect the fuel feed hose as you planned

2) Aim hose into a 2 liter soda bottle

3) Connect a jumper from LEFT side of fuse 6 to LEFT side of fuse 4
>> Pumps will run immediately. Stop after 30 seconds.

3) Estimate fuel quantity in 2 liter bottle.
>> If battery is a good 12 volts, fuel qty should be 1.23 qt
>> If battery is down to 11 volts, qty should be 1.06 qt.
>> If only 10 volts, qty should be .84 qt.

I wouldn't replace the new filter if you are getting anywhere close to a quart.

This is from the Bentley 240 manual (costs about the same as 2 fuel filters).
