Hard start (cold) stalls/bogs on acceleration 200 1989

Hi all,

My 89 240 has become very hard to start first time in the morning. Cranks excessively then will finally catch and idle peckishly. If I try to rev it it will bog and stall. If I accelerate ever so slowly and carefully it will pick up rpms, but any sudden increase of the throttle will stall it. After about 15-20 minutes it seems to straighten out and will be good for the rest of the day. It seem particularly bad after a heavy rain. Looking for some experience to short cut me to a place to begin looking.

Cold start injector?, hall sensor?, crank position sensor? Not even sure if my model has these or where they're located.

BTW, I tried and tried to find the 700/900 FAQs but I could find no link on the site to them anywhere. Just a drop drown menu that did not respond at all. I even tried to search for the term "700/900 faq" but all it did was turn up threads that mentioned it. Could someone paste and post the URL so I can copy and save it!!

Thanks!!, Kurt
