Brake Calipers 700 1989

Hi,

I noticed when I was checking the front brakes, that one of the piston dust boots has a large hole in it. I can see some sand/dirt etc. on the side of the piston. There are no obvious brake problems, although the outer pad is slightly more worn than the inner (just down to the end of the wear indicator).
I will be replacing the pads/rotors in a matter of weeks and I'm wondering what to do with the caliper...
should I just go ahead and replace the dust boots, or get a rebuilt unit? I'd rather not spend too much money if I can help it.

Also, I'm considering getting Zimmermann cross-drilled rotors. How do these compare to the standard rotors in terms of performance/pad wear. Would they be a worthwhile upgrade?
