To Junk or not to Junk - that is the question 200

Well, everyone, I think the time has come for poor Rover to kick the bucket. The carrier bearing is out, so are some in the rear. She clunks and shakes and shimmies when you pull out, there's a nasty squeel when you stop. She hums going down the road and swings her butt to the left when you brake. The back end is wrecked and the parts I had lined up fell through. The drivers seat is shot, the leather is cracked, the foam is worn down flat plus the lumber support is gone. The tranny leaks just for fun and the AC pump is froze. Then there's the off and on issues with the wires, many times she won't start for an hour, you kick the tire, curse, walk away, come back and vrrrrrooom, she starts right up. Fuel pump, lights, wipers, everything comes and goes for fun. And then there's the rust issue, the surface rust here and there, the leaky windshield and the rot under the driver's seat. Hubby and I just found out we're expecting, money's going to be tight and I really need something reliable and safe. We spent $500 last year for her, 40K miles later she's feeling pretty tired.
What do you all think - is it worthwile to fix her, or put up a 'free to good home' ad here at the brickboard.
