brake bleeding after near-total fluid loss 700

I'm in the process of getting my '86 740 on the road after an "oh !@%$#@!!!!" experience... Much of the brake fluid was lost - the M/C was virtually dry, and there was a LOT of brake fluid on the road.

I've replaced the caliper & brake lines, but can't seem to get the system bled - no pedal resistance, but no fluid coming out the bleeder screws. The hoses are free of restriction, the caliper pistons move okay, and I got a dribble of fluid from the hard lines when I disconnected them to install the replacement caliper & hoses.

I've tried a pressure bleeder, using vacuum on the bleeder screws, and the time-honored "pump the pedal" method, all to no avail. (When pumping the pedal, I've made sure not to pump any further than the normal pedal travel I'd had.)

I should be getting fluid through, but it's not happening - I need to get this fixed, since I'm on vacation 1100 miles from home...

Any / all suggestions are welcomed!
