What can I do about my 240 vapor licking? 200

It's been over 100 degrees here lately and I've been driving my 240 for deliveries all day and it seems to run fine until late afternoon when it starts to sputter and cough and lose alot of power. If I let it sit for awhile, it will run fine until it heats up again and then more of the same thing. Can a volvo with electronic fuel injection vapor lock and if so what can I do to cure this. BTW, the eng. temp. gauge reads fine. Thanks, Charles
