Hooking up an Amp Meter 120-130

RJ;

I dissagree with George on this one...an Ampmeter with its two seperate regions (charge/discharge) gives the info I'm interested in.... a Voltmeter's indication is pulled all over the place depending on what loads are running, temp of, and state of battery charge...and add to that, from 10% to 90% charge occur over a mere .8 of a volt...and a glance at the voltmeter WILL NOT tell you your charging system is working or not...you'd still depend on the light for that...so what's the point?

But as an "electrical guy", I actually have the option with a switch of selecting either on the Snow-Weasel, for maximum info! See: http://www.intelab.com/swem/snowwsl_dash_lores.jpg And it spends most of its time in the AMP position.

Ampmeter does NOT "hook inline on the amp light". Suggested reading: http://www.intelab.com/swem/elecramb.htm

Cheers
