Ignition Lock 200 1978

Hi,

I see Your failure not to be detected yet.

The Failure is definitely independant of alternator, regulator and battery, otherwise it would not crank, even if power supply to battery had a problem!

Check the ignition lock (electrical part) and the wires to ignition and fuel pump.

In earlier times, when ignition had points and capacitor, it was easy to fix that kind of problem in emergancy situations: battery+ to ignition-coil+. Start and drive. I'm glad, my daily driver, '76 245DL, is such a simple car ;-)

Regards from Cologne
Norbert
