780 bertone head gasket? 700

I have a 740 and a 960 for the last 18 and 4 years and so I'm not new to Volvo.
I love some of the challenges I've experienced along the way doing all my own work since working at a dealership. I must say new challenges are to come because I'm looking at 780 with what I'm told is a blown head gasket. The car I'm told has a V-6 and through the years Ive heard people say to stay away from any of the V-6 Volvo's. I never paid attention to any of this talk and don't know a thing about them. Please tell me I'm listening now. What should I look for and are they difficult and costly to bring back to life?
This particular car is an 89 and only has 60,000 miles on it.
Thanks Dieter.

P.S. I think this can be turned into a real head turner with the right stuff.
