'93 245 rpm is sort of 'surging' at stop lites 200 1993

'93 245 automatic.

I've noticed that after being in stop-and-go traffic w/ the A/C running, when I come to a stop lite, the car surges. What I mean is that the rpm is not steady...it "hunts." I tried turning off the A/C (because I thought the car was going to die in traffic) and it didn't immediately steady out..but seems to do better w/o the A/C running.

I don't know if it's the AMM dying or what. I took the throttle body apart today and cleaned it with throttle body cleaner. I also cleaned out the flame trap while I was in there. Haven't tried it since the cleaning...but I don't think it fixed the problem.

What would cause the idle to "hunt" or "surge" like this???
