Resetting V90 alarm? S90-V90

My sister's 98 V90 has been sitting at my apt. for about two days while she's away. I went to drive it today and the battery's dead. She reports no starting problems or anything that would indicate a charge/battery problem. So I went to jump it and the the alarm goes off and keeps going off for about 30 seconds every time I open a door/whatever. There's nothing to indicate that the car was tampered with either. The horn sounds weak. Is it possible that the battery for the alarm is dying? Any other ideas?
Thanks,
Oliver.
