Failed donut! 200

I had to replace the antenna on my '92 245, and pulled the temp spare out of the wheel well. For some reason, it was really hard to get it out - but once it was free, I saw the reason why. This UNUSED donut had suffered a belt or carcass failure around the entire circumference, and ther was full tread separation over about 15 degrees. What a shock! It's the original, 1992 vintage tire, but again in virgin condition. Maybe the AZ heat got to it, but I'm sure glad I discovered it before I needed a spare!
