Central door locking 200

I have a 1991 245 SE. Suddenly the door locking mechanism that locks all of the doors from the drivers door button stopped working. However I can lock and unlock all of the doors using the key in the door lock. What is up with this? Is this a relay problem? Or are there separate switches at the locking button and at the key lock?
