6 Volt battery cable 444-544

ANother approach is to find an 8 volt battery. It worked WONDERS on my old '63 VW Beetle's 6 volt system. Modifications to the charging system were limited to bending a tab on the regulator slightly (with an eye on a voltage gague). The increase in voltage was small enough that all the bulbs didn't need to be replaced, and the starter (for the first time ever) actually spun the motor around with some slight bit of enthusiasm. I was finally able to stop scouting out parking spots with good push start potential.
