central locking diagnosis 700

hi
my system is just the plain key version.
Ive just stripped out the door trim and done some imvestigating. The switch is a unit with dust bellows on the top.
Operating the door locking knob up and down, I can hear the switch operating by its clicking sound,Plus the switch is being operated ok by the mechanism, and everything is tight.
All I am getting is a faint noise from the tailgate, when the switch functions.

Could it be the switch itself. The 3 wires coming from the switch are black,yellow/black,green/ black.
I could check the switch for resistance.Does anyone know the switching pattern for the switch?
