740 Turbo power loss 700

Hi Everyone,

I just picked up an '88 740 Turbo wagon a few weeks ago. It has 214 K on it. I've noticed that it doesn't have much power when accelerating from a dead stop. The turbo gauge runs up into the yellow, but the car doesn't really respond unless I accelerate easily. The car also seems to run in the yellow much more than my '84 760 Turbo does.

So, any suggestions as to where I should start looking? The intank prepump is working fine ( I can hear it through the filler hole).
