Center support bearing 700 1990

I'm in the process of replacing the center support bearing (just waiting for the part) and have a couple of questions. Although I did remember to make alignment marks on the tranny and diff flanges, I didn't for where the two sections of shaft come together. Is that important when re-assembling? I figure as long as both sections are balanced from factory there shouldn't be an issue.
Secondly, there's about a half inch up/down movement when I lift up on the back of the tranny. Seems like alot. Wonder should I replace the tranny mount as well? Thanks in advance.
